More Variations

The third activity is focused on identifying multiple variations of the theme.

• Students/artists view multple video files file and watch and listen to Pachelbel's Canon in D Major.
• Students/artists listen and see how other artists/musicians have created more variations on the theme.
• Students/artists compare the multiple variations identifying how each was different yet the same.

These variations of Pachelbel's Canon in D Major are performed by various musicians using various instruments. One variation includes an example of how a story can be incorporated to create a variation.

In order to view these clips, you will need to be able to access YouTube. Some schools filter YouTube because there are some videos that are not appropriate for school viewing.  You may need to use a computer that is not located at the school. We are trying to provide access to this clip via another server, however, at this time the only access is through YouTube.
